Based here and working the whole city. Infill on tight lots, new subdivisions on the edges, multi family blocks and commercial builds.
Edmonton is not one framing market. There is infill in the mature neighbourhoods, where lots are narrow, access is awful and the neighbours are three metres away. There are the new subdivisions on the edges of the city, where the work is production pace and the schedule is everything. There are multi family blocks. And there is commercial.
Those need different things from a framer. Infill needs crews who can work without a laydown yard and stage material in a space the size of a driveway. Production work needs pace that does not cost quality. Multi family needs layout discipline so error does not run down the row. We do all four, and we quote them differently because they are not the same job.
Yes, and they are their own kind of job. Narrow lots mean no laydown yard, deliveries have to be timed rather than dumped, and there is a neighbour on each side. Crews used to open subdivision sites often struggle with that. Ours are not.
Yes. Production work is a large part of what we do on the newer edges of the city. The trick is pace without the quality dropping, because a fast frame that the next trade has to correct has not actually saved the builder anything at all.
Yes. Retail, office and commercial builds run alongside our residential work. The crews and the standard are the same. What changes is the coordination load and how tightly the framing schedule is tied to every trade behind it.
Yes, the business operates out of Edmonton rather than servicing it from somewhere else. That means there is no travel component quietly built into a city quote, and a job that needs somebody back on site is not a half day round trip to reach.
Fastest way to get a number is a phone call with the drawings in front of you. The form works too.
